WBR continued...

I started running my 3rd leg at 3:15am. I was required to wear a reflective vest and head lamp. It was weird, but fun. My brother came up and ran this last leg with me. I always passed off to Shannon because she was runner #2, so my brother just kept on running with her too. He ran over 11 miles with us. I really appreciated it because he kept up the pace and it was a little freaky running on back country roads in the middle of the night. Our van finished running about 8:00am. We knew we had about 5 hours until the rest of our team finished so we went and showered and ate breakfast. A cheap all you can eat breakfast buffet at JB's has never tasted so good! After breakfast we got back in the van and headed to the finish line. All teams run the last 50 yards to the finish line together. When we were crossing the finish line a local news team was there to capture the moment. Apparently our team was the only one they taped because we were on the news about 20 times that night! It was hilarious!

This is a team picture. My van is on the back row. Along with our driver (an uncle of a team member) who was as redneck as they come! He was so funny!!! Van #2 and their driver are all in the front. They were all running the last 6 legs so they didn't have time to shower or change into our race shirts.

Here is a picture of Shannon and I at the finish line in downtown Park City. Everyone kept saying we looked like twins. It doesn't help that we wore matching outfits most of the time.

This race is a must do for anyone who likes to run and has friends or family who like to run. It was so much fun!! There are similar races in other parts of the country. Find one of them and do it!!!
