What does one do when one turns one?

Adeline had a great 1st birthday. In fact, she said it was her best birthday yet. She celebrated by opening some presents and smashing cake in her hair, as is customary for a first birthday bash. One of my favorite things about Adeline is that the novelty of her has never worn off. We all love being around her and playing with her as much as we did the first day we brought her home from the hospital. I know it sounds very cliche to say she brings so much joy into our home, but she really does. We love her dearly.
